Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable Officer

What we are looking for

  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in AR / AP within a consultancy or similar organisation 
  • Effective time management skills
  • Highly developed organisational skills able to meet competing priorities
  • Hold bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant discipline
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills able to identify efficiencies and optimise financial processes
  • Possess strong capabilities to build and maintain relationships with clients
  • Have working knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards 
  • Intermediate skills in Excel and familiarity with Xero or similar ERP systems

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure Accounts Receivable and Account Payable are processed according to deadlines and time Schedules
  • Engage daily with customers to ensure outstanding invoices are settled within company payment terms
  • Submit daily reports to management on accounts receivable operations
  • Address customer inquiries regarding billing issues promptly
  • Conduct bank reconciliation for customer and supplier payments, credit card statement reconciliation, and various AP/AR sub-ledgers
  • Research and investigate discrepancies in invoices to ensure accuracy of charges
  • Assist in managing an AR ledger and files
  • Strengthen and grow relationships with clients by communicating with customers regarding past-due accounts.
  • Assist in streamlining the AR/AP process by identifying areas for performance improvement.
  • Uphold integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting, complying with national and local financial regulations.
  • Perform other ad hoc tasks and data analyses as required.
  • Take minutes in meetings and perform other administrative duties.
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned from time to time

What we are looking for

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree or post-grad qualifications in a relevant discipline 
  • At least one years’ experience working in the heritage industry  
  • Have a working knowledge of current heritage legislation and heritage practices
  • Effective time management skills and ability to manage small projects 
  • Demonstrated experience in completing assessments and fieldwork
  • Strong written and analytical skills
  • Possess the ability to build strong relationships with clients and subject matter experts 

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to

  • Working within a supportive team to complete projects on time and budget to industry’s best practice standards
  • Participate in fieldwork-based activities
  • Undertake research, assessment and provision of recommendations for heritage projects 
  • Develop content for project reports that comply with legislative guidelines, heritage best practice and Artefact Heritage standards

Senior Heritage Consultant – Aboriginal Heritage

What we are looking for

  • Minimum 5 years full-time experience in management of Aboriginal cultural heritage and archaeology
  • Hold Bachelor’s degree with Honours in archaeology or relevant discipline in the field of Aboriginal cultural heritage management
  • Thorough knowledge of the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974, National Parks and Wildlife Regulations 2019 and associated guidelines
  • Demonstrated experience in completing Aboriginal archaeological assessments and fieldwork
  • Have working knowledge of current heritage legislation and archaeological practices
  • Effective time management skills
  • Highly developed organisational skills able to meet competing priorities
  • Exceptional written and analytical skills
  • Possess the ability to build strong relationships with clients and Aboriginal knowledge holders
  • Be able to identify Aboriginal objects autonomously and with confidence
  • Have demonstrated experience in managing field excavation teams 

Responsibilities

As a Senior Heritage Consultant within the Aboriginal Heritage team, your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Manage projects and a team of supporting investigators to complete projects on time and budget to industry’s best practice standards,
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior staff, 
  • Complete and manage fieldwork-based assignments ranging from site inspections and archaeological survey to test and salvage excavations,
  • Complete and manage artefact cataloguing and analysis including external specialist analysis of retrieved archaeological material,
  • Manage preparation of Aboriginal heritage reports that comply with legislative guidelines, archaeological best practice and Artefact Heritage standards,
  • Maintain and grow client relationship through regular communication and preparation of proposals/tenders.

Casual Field Archaeologist

About the role

We have multiple upcoming positions available for short and longer-term archaeological fieldwork programs. Artefact Heritage is seeking expressions of interest from archaeologists for a casual position and involvement in possible future fieldwork opportunities. 

Fieldwork opportunities are within the Greater Sydney Area and surrounds.  

To take advantage of this opportunity, applicants are required to submit an expression of interest detailing relevant experience, with a copy of a current Curriculum Vitae and names and details of referees from relevant sources within the industry.
